Bio

Opportunity knocks when you least expect it. Seeds are sown and you never know how things might grow after the years have passed. I have always believed everything happens for a reason and God always has a plan for our lives. I started my journey towards photography, in broadcasting and video production in the Media Department at the church where I grew up.

I came from humble beginnings. I must have been 12 or 13 when I started working as a grip for one of the mobile camera operators. In case you didn’t know the grip was responsible making sure all the lighting, cables, and various other items are in the place for the cameraman to be in position to quickly get the required video footage. After a lot of hard work and dedication, I was given the opportunity to operate a camera on my own. It was an exciting experience after spending countless hours in class learning some of technical aspects of everything. It was a blessing and a exciting time for me.  After several years of doing that, I was also given the opportunity to be “THE DIRECTOR” during some of our telecasts. It was very empowering for me and I eventually started working with a program called Post 5 with WRAL . We created documentaries on important topics in the Raleigh-Durham area.

My photography career had a similar start. I was introduced to the wedding industry several years ago by one of my best friends. My friend introduced me to some of the best wedding photographers in the Raleigh/Durham area.

I spent a lot of time studying and perfecting my craft under these great mentors. After being a second shooter and attending various photography workshops from some of the best wedding photographers in the industry, I began to photograph my own weddings. Over the years, my talent to use light and photograph raw emotion has truly made my photography extraordinary.

My approach is photo-journalist, I like to be behind the scenes capturing those candid moments during a wedding. Every wedding is different and deserves to be captured in a unique fashion; my ability to make adjustments during a wedding has made my experience in this business truly amazing.

I’m married to the love of my life, so it’s not hard to feel the love and joy that comes to a couple while planning this special day I love those intimate moments of emotion between the bride and groom after they have said their “I Do’s”. It’s my job to capture these moments during the wedding day and it has been a blessing to photograph these precious memories as they unfold into a story. I’m loving every minute of this fun journey, with my wonderful wife Tiffany by my side.

My work has been featured in Essence, WeddingwireBlack BrideThe Coordinated BrideBlack Nuptials, The Bridal Guide, Huffington Post Weddings, and many more. Voted Top 25 Raleigh Wedding Photographers by Expertise.com for 2015 and 2017. I’m so glad you are here with us. Welcome!
